Villagers pack in at White Horse campaign event

Kimpton’s most recent ‘Save Our White Horse’ Pop-Up pub proved to be its most successful yet, with a packed Dacre Rooms testifying to the huge local interest in the campaign’s work of restoring this much-loved pub to its community.

Attendees at the September 29 event were able to enjoy a wide range of wines and comestibles, with ales supplied by local beer company Farr Brew and excellent music from local musicians Tim & Ellie and the ever-popular Kimpton Unplugged.

Campaign member Wendy Hyams commented:

“It was so good to see so many people at the latest Pop-Up pub. It was buzzing! It shows that there is a huge amount of interest in the work we are doing to restore our village pub to the community. We owe thanks to so many people who helped make this event a success.

“Our next Pop-Up will be of particular interest. We are excited to be holding a Christmas event on the 8th December with a professional caterer serving quality food offerings and of course, more local beers, wine and other refreshments to try.”

More information on the group’s next Pop-Up pub will follow shortly.
