Well what a night we had on the 8th March. Proof, if any were needed, of the strength our campaign is gathering. We’re feeling support from so many quarters now; the Plunkett organisation, Camra, members of which were in attendance, local and national politicians – and a growing horde of villagers, all excited by the prospect of getting their beloved White Horse back in community hands.
The evening kicked off in style with the marvellous music of Steve Christopher, who then introduced us to the rest of his band – The Outsiders. It was so encouraging to see many new – and young! – faces, as well as our regular loyal following.
Beers were provided by the truly excellent The 3 Brewers of St Albans and punters enjoyed snacks and were able to choose from an array of quality wines. This was, without doubt the biggest and liveliest Pop-Up pub we have organised so far. Thank you to The 3 Brewers, Camra, Steve Christopher & The Outsiders, and you – all of you whose very attendance was a visual demonstration of the vibrancy and momentum of our Save Our White Horse campaign.
